Jenny McCarthy Raises Funds for Autism
at Talk About Curing Autism Gala 

Orange County—October 9, 2007 – Jenny McCarthy, actress, comedian and model is serving as honorary Chair and master of ceremonies for a major Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) fundraiser to benefit families affected by autism. Ante Up for Autism, a poker tournament and casino night event, will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at The Island Hotel, Newport Beach with a fun “old” Las Vegas theme.

McCarthy is the author of a just released book, Louder Than Words – A Mother’s Journey in Healing Autism, which chronicles her experiences and healing philosophies as a parent of a child with autism. A book signing will be held during the evening. 

The event, which will fund educational programs and services for families affected by autism, will include a reception and dinner against a backdrop of lounge music, gaming opportunities and silent auction. The highlight of the evening will be a poker tournament featuring poker celebrity and special guests, Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari and Rafe Furst.

Other celebrity guests include actors Joe Mantegna, Cuba Gooding Jr., Clifton Collins Jr., and Jonathon Schaech as well as athletes Jim Everett, Eric Dickerson, Brian Lopes, Chone Figgins, and Teemu Selanne.
