Driving DirectionsDate July 14, 2009 Time 6:15-7:45 p.m. Description Pump It Up with TACA of New Jersey Bring your kids to a TACA Pump it up party each month! All jumpers including parents assisting must wear socks. No socks, No jump. Socks are available for purchase if you do forget them.
At least one parent must assist each child. Translation: Be vigilant in watching your children and monitoring their behavior. If you have younger children PLEASE be sure at least one parent joins the child in the bouncer arenas! The preferred age range for bouncing (safety reasons) is at least walking (able to bounce!)
This is a great time to meet new parents and connect with those you know. Feel free to invite and watch (and RSVP) your children’s friends, siblings, cousins, etc.

Driving directionsDate July 20-22, 2009 Time 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Description Creating Effective Teaching Environments (3-Day Package) This is an in-depth three-day workshop on implementing the Pyramid Approach to Education, designed for cross-disciplinary teams. Topics include functional activities, reinforcement systems, communication skills, and contextually inappropriate behaviors and alternatives. Generalization, creating effective lessons, specific teaching strategies, minimizing and correcting errors, data collection and analysis and the nine critical communication skills are also explored in great detail. Activities include lecture, demonstration, video review, group writing activities, team planning, and role-playing. This training is ideal for individuals who are working with students with functional speech or communication systems already in place. It is appropriate for teams who are creating special education instructional programs or for existing teams looking for comprehensive training and application opportunities.
