Louder than Words: Jenny McCarthy's Journey in Healing Autism
With the publication of her book,  Louder than Words, and the accompanying press tour, Jenny McCarthy wanted to partner with TACA to provide help for families across the United States. Because of this unprecedented media attention, TACA has been contacted by thousands of parents looking to help their child affected by autism.

TACA does not have the resources (financial and personnel) to pull this off alone. Our goals are the following:

  • Work with existing Autism organizations and utilize their resources for helping families (see "Check Out Our Friends" on our home page)

  • Work with existing TACA personnel

  • Incorporate key, knowledgeable individuals who have strong backgrounds in autism treatments, both traditional AND biomedical approaches, to help outside California in strategic locations across the U.S.

  • Find existing support groups that hold provide regular support group meetings that provide traditional and biomedical information to help families.

  • Provide lists of Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) doctors in immediate areas of need

  • Utilize key volunteers in the field helping families affected by autism

In 2008 TACA has expanded TACA groups outside of California and will continue to expand to new locations.

One of the primary reasons for TACA's success over the past seven years:  OUR AMAZING VOLUNTEERS.
